This book is the very BEST for telling me everything I had hoped to learn at this point in my Photoshop skill level, and ! It is eTextbook, Paperback I have read most everything there is of quality on Photoshop, including, among the best, the Classroom in a book series, just about everything Robin Whalley has written, and the top of the top, Martin Evening, plus others too many to enumerate. I can therefore say with The PSD book is good, but I advice you to register for a face to face or online class as just a book to work on demand a lot of motivation and discipline. Not everybody is able to learn this way. As a complement to a course this book is perfect. It covers everything you Well written, but instructions for downloading files don't work.
