I missed all the updates and comments when I was away from GR, but now that I'm back, GR is Blessing me with these Gems.
It's almost as if GR was waiting for me to return so it could traumatize me in a new way.

The cover reminds me of a certain Bollywood villain, and I can't get him out of my head!!!
I'm also intrigued.😌ðŸ'€

The heroine: Luana - She is daughter of the leader of her colony. There are three sentient species on the planet, one of the other two, the Yuru’s, are fighters and are set on set on taking over her colony and either slaughtering or enslaving everyone. Her father is hurt and the colony’s only chance is with the Zelconian’s, the only other native sentient species. They can’t ask for help from the UPO because the planet is primitive and her people settled on the planet illegally.

The Hero: Dakas - He is from a bird-like race who also have psychic abilities. They had made an appeal to the UPO on behalf of the human settlement, but were told that the only way for the humans to be recognized by the Federation was for a Zelconian to marry a human. Dakas is more humanoid than the rest of his people, as he was the result of a human mating with a Zelconian.

The Story: Luana is immediately attracted to Dakas, when she sees him while meeting with the Zelconian council. Dakas knows as soon as he sees Luana that she is his mate. After his people turned her down, he brought up some good points with his council on why they should change their minds and possibly help out the Caston colony.

The UPO has a burgeoning trade agreement with a Zelconians for their crystals, but can’t get involved in the local war that is brewing. However, if a Zelconian marries a human through the Prime Mating Agency they can work around the issue and get assistance from the UPO.

This book was told in dual points of view via solo narration. The narration is done by Daryl Mayfield who does a great job. He has a deep sonorous voice and a pretty good female voice. He has done the narration for the other books in this series I have read. I have really enjoyed his narration and the stories have been surprisingly good. I like that they all have different and unique worlds and species.

I really like how all the differences between the species were explained so well, like how Dakas sleeps since he has wings, how his bed is different and how he showers in a much smaller human shower. The world building is so great, much of the technology and the way they live is thoroughly explained as well as the political climate of their worlds.

This series is a bit out there with the fact that humans are mating with different sentient species (not shifters, who have a human form but also shift into a different species), though the books are written so well that they are so fun to read.

The weakest installment of the three so far, unfortunately. I really liked the set-up. Humans are living as illegal colonists on a planet that's populated by birdmen and minotaurs (Zelconians and Yurus, to you). Because of their illegal status, they can't get any assistance from their Federation stand-in (the UPO-- I forget what it stands for), even though the Yurus are becoming hostile and planning attacks.

When Luana appeals to the Zelconians, who are psychic birdmen, they are sympathetic but basically say their hands are tied. Little does she know that they've made a separate appeal of their own to the UPO out of concern of the minotaurs and the answer is basically, marry one of the hoomans and then we can recognize them as being legal citizens and we can get involved without making it a big to-do. And conveniently, one of the birdmen is half-human/half-bird and he has a peen instead of a cloaca and lips instead of a beak, so not only can he bang, he can also, you know, not peck her while they bang. Also, they're soulmates because apparently he imprinted on her at first sight. Which feels like insta-love to me, but IDK. I don't make the rules.

I think I would have liked this a lot more if the heroine's personality expanded beyond I'm horny for birds! The heroine in LIZARDMAN was really into farming and agriculture, and the heroine in NAGA was a huntress who experienced a thrill in taking down challenging prey. This heroine is a doctor but she doesn't actually spend a whole lot of time doctoring. Most of it is spent lusting after her husband, Dakas. And to be fair, Dakas is pretty adorable. There's this hilarious scene where he tries to figure out how to use her shower and water gets everywhere and then she finds him in a water-soaked bathroom looking like a guilty puppy. But then there's also birding (read: birdmen vomiting food into each other's mouths) and there's this icky part of their bond where it apparently acts as a shock collar, causing pain if either of them ever considers cheating, which felt kind of gross to me.

Also, as I said, Luana's whole personality is I REALLY WANT TO FUCK THAT BIRDMAN.

So this one ended up falling short for me. I do wonder if maybe there's going to be a follow-up about the minotaur aliens. I pinged the author on Twitter and she gave me a very teasing response, which I'm choosing to infer means YES. There's an I MARRIED A MINOTAUR in my future. Which, if true, I'm very excited about. I still loved books one and two but I wasn't really impressed by this one at all.

2.5 to 3 stars Jai Épousé un Homme-Oiseau (Agence Prime) 3.5 stars - Political maneuvering + marriage of convenience + surprisingly sweet h/h? I love this series! It's so fun and hits the spot for me in what I like in SF romance Romance, Paranormal, Science Fiction My, my, my. Phew. ::Fans himself off:: I have never seen such gratuitous use of the words tingle and mingle in my life. But damnit, it was great! Regine Abel is a really talented author. And boy has she mastered writing sex scenes. She does it in such a way to make it supremely sexy, interesting, and in a very tactful and elegant way, too. And let’s be honest, this isn’t meant to be Shakespeare. This series is an imaginative set of science fiction/erotica adventures. And they all have the same basic plot. I’m not saying this to demean Abel’s works, because I’m not into erotica or science fiction, but I’m completely hooked on this series. The characters are fun, the plots are sci-fi enough without going too crazy, the landscapes are so vividly detailed, and, again, the sex scenes are unmatched. Now I wondered why, in this far advanced future, they’re still using conventional methods of cooking and the same types of food we have now. This all happens as the characters discuss using cybernetics to replace a bird/human hybrid’s legs. It just felt like a bit of a disconnect. And I enjoyed Martin’s character, but his inclusion into a potential love triangle with Luana and Dakas felt very weak, with an equally inadequate resolution. I also felt this was the least sexual of the series, although it made great use of the intimacy that was included. And the comedic side of me so wanted there to be a tidbit during a lovemaking session where Lauana comes up with a mouthful of feathers. But I’m a troubled person with a sick sense of humor, so maybe ignore that. But overall, this is a great addition to the Prime Mating Agency series, and I look forward to seeing more.

Jai

I started this series as a goof because of the silly title, and I really enjoyed I Married a Lizardman and I Married a Naga, and there’re several similarities like the mutual respect from each mc’s and the low relationship drama, but this one fell just a little short.

The Kindle blurb sets it up, Luana is from a human colony on the planet Cibbos, and having problems with the Yuris, a minotaur/orc-ish aggressive species. Desperate, she visits the Zelconians, a bird-like species for help. There she meets Dakas, a Zelconian/human hybrid who happens to be her soulmate. The two enter a MOC to ensure the safety of both people.

The series can easily be read as standalones because each couple is from a different planet, and the only crossover is Kayog Voln, the “matchmaker” with the UPO… and his parts are very brief. The mc’s are always supportive of each other, and take their time getting to know each other. There’s really no drama or bickering.

Bottom Line- I do like this series, and I can’t put my finger on it, but this one was just ok for me. I liked both the mc’s, but found myself bored through chunks of it. **5/5 stars**

This Prime Mating Agency serie is such a gem to read. I can’t even describe how dear these books are to me. I can already tell that they'll be my go-to safe read.

What I like the most about each book is that they all depict beautiful things like: Acceptance, Compromise, Respect, Communication, Devotion, Love, Friendship, Sincerity, Consent, etc. Standalones, they all follow a same sort of primary plot where a human woman has to marry to different species (aliens but vaguely humanoid) after getting paired by the PMA. The good thing is that, even with the same base plot, each book is unique and outlines different alien cultures and beliefs.

''The way her face lit up, her sincere joy upon seeing me turned me upside down. A burst of affection exploded in my chest, and my nape tingled with the urge to soul-bind with her.'' -Dakas
But like..how cute is this? I can't even... 🥺

If I loved all three installments, my favorite was by far I Married a Birdman . It had all the things that I look for when reading a book. The characters were all likable in their own way, Luana and Dakas were absolutely perfect for each other, and following their bonding was adorable. The conflict between the Colony and the Yurus was engaging enough without being overwhelming. No couple drama, no angst. The Zelconian culture was interesting and their technology fascinating. Overall, a very nice package.

I wonder if Regine Abel will be writing more books for this serie. I would love it.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, they may look very goofy but the stories inside are more than worth it. You’ll find yourself swooning over the heros and rooting for the pairings’ love and future. I love this series!! This one might be my favorite. I loved how this one was not just a human h going to another species planet and culture. This was a good mix of both.

I loved Dakas. He was so sexy. So sweet. I just wanted to lick him right up. I loved how as an empath he felt pleasure making the h, Luana feel pleasure. He could feel her emotions and used it to support her and meet her needs, ALL of her needs!! Dakas was excited to finally have his soulmate and made sure Luana could feel how much she meant to him and the depth of his feelings for her.

Luana was smart and fierce, willing to do whatever it took to save her village. She was willing to open her heart and mind to allow their relationship a chance to thrive. Luana was compassionate and understanding but a tough little firecracker when it came to standing up for what was right. I loved how she was strong enough to allow herself to be vulnerable and be honest with Dakas, even when it was embarrassing so that there wouldn't be misunderstandings. Luana was such a good hearted person she deserved a great partner like Dakas that would always support her so she could thrive.

If you couldn't tell already, I really loved this one! I loved the characters. I even want to see the leader of the reformed bad guys get a mate too! In fact I hope that's the next book lol. I can't wait. 4.7 stars.
These two together are absolutely swoon worthy.
So much care and passion and compassion and love and just a really good friendship. It really gave me all the feels watching these two come together and complete each other.

The relationship building and the conflict Luana’s people are facing are the main focus here. But they still found time to be playful and to assuage their ever growing attraction.

The sex was not so much detailed, filthiness as it was a total mind meld of passion and affection and love that really emanated off the page. The two sex scenes were brief, but mighty in that way. You could practically feel their connection through the words. It was really beautiful.

And the humor.
I really enjoyed getting to know these new aliens. Seeing their culture and individual senses of humor come out as they grew to know and like Luana more.

I had an amazing time reading this book. Just like I had an amazing time reading the other two in this series.
And I can not wait to see what happens next. What new race we’ll be introduced to. What new problems will unfold for that couple.
I am absolutely loving this author’s ability to make a relationship really go through the paces and her talent of showing us that same duo grow and learn together.
It just makes me want to swoon with how sweet and heartwarming it all is.
Esta fue una NO apasionante historia para mí.

I Married A Birdman de Regine Abel serie Prime Mating Agency libro 3

Argumento:

Her sacrifice could save her people.

Luana’s colony is under threat of an impending attack. As the sole child of their grievously wounded leader, she seeks aid from the only other native species on the planet. Consenting to a marriage of convenience with one of the Zelconians, a peaceful bird-like race, would secure the protection her village desperately needs. As much as that prospect terrifies her, Luana cannot deny being intrigued by the hybrid she is to marry, with his strange eyes full of stars, his majestic wings, and his hypnotic voice.

Dakas is shocked when his soul clamors for Luana the moment she enters their Council chamber. Who would have thought the brewing war would have finally allowed him to find his soulmate? Her delicate and demure appearance cannot fool his empathic abilities. Dakas senses the fire and strength burning within Luana. He’s more than eager to take the human as his mate to serve both of their peoples’ best interests. But he wants more than to protect her village; he wants to conquer her heart.

Can Luana embrace their union despite the circumstances, or will the war destroy any chances they had of a future together? Jai Épousé un Homme-Oiseau (Agence Prime)
